Discover is reporting to my - report that it was settled for less than agreed. Discover was very aggressive in collecting on this account. I told them I would pay it off for the agreed amount if they agreed not to report it to my bureau. They agreed and we proceeded. I 've recently learned that it was only charged off by around - dollars. I offered to pay that off in full and they said they 'd take the money but not remove it. I feel this was a deceptive practice and they 're not willing to make it right. They 're also unwilling to work with me on paying off the former charge off. I honestly do n't understand why they would n't want my money at this point. I 'm attempting to repair past wrongs and they were very rude about it when I called.
