Credit card Taking/threatening an illegal action Seized/Attempted to seize property Michigan
In - of 2013 I was sent a notice from - - - to go to court for an outstanding bill of apx. $8000.00. I wrote back and said I did n't understand how they could take me to court for a bill so old ( it is about 8 years old. ) I told them that I went through a period of bad health and divorce. I got behind with the IRS. They have reviewed my case and put me in non-collectible ''. I told them the best I could do was $25.00 a month. They agreed on that. I have a contract signed by the judge that says that I will pay $2500.00 a month. This year when I had my taxes done they took my $150.00 refund from the State of Michigan. I contacted them and they said does it say on the contract that we can not take that money? '' I said no, but it does say we agree to $25.00 a month. Well they kept my money. Can they just go in on any of my assets and just take them, even though we have a contract stating payment terms.
