From - - - - : American Express Business Credit Card Marketing proceduresI have been an AME- customer since -/-/- and pleased with service, until ... I start getting unwanted solicitations for a business line of credit **for a business I have no association with** When I call, they tell me it will take three months to correct the error. In the mean time, every two weeks I get an invitation to open a line of credit with this erroneous business. 1 ) Opt out procedures typically are 30 days- waiting 90 days is unacceptable2 ) I have nothing to do with the business they assigned me to3 ) Every mailing is a risk. People go through mail and take credit card offers, and steal identity, change addresses and open accounts fraudulently. When I explained this - to AME-, they stated sorry it takes 90 days. 4 ) I dont understand how I was associated with - University in the first place. I have enjoyed AME- over 20 years, but these erroneous mailings every two weeks not only borders on harassment, it is establishing a risk for any person receiving unwanted information and THEN has to wait 90 days for them to correct their own error. Since I first called them -/-/-, I have received - more credit card offers for a business I have no association with. While the people are nice I am particularly disappointed that it takes 90 days to resolve this problem, exposing me to more risk.
