Credit card Communication tactics Threatened to take legal action Mississippi

This individual has called me almost every single day in regards to credit card debt that I have been unable to pay due to unemployment. He leaves numerous messages. He has called my parents, my brother, and most likely other individuals that share my last name. I called him today and he threatened me by saying that if I did not pay a certain amount that legal action would be taken. He hassled me to ask family members for money. I told him NOT to call my parents as I have not lived with them for - years and they would not be paying this debt on my behalf.
