Stop CallsJPay Inc. Money transfers other service issues February 12, 2016 - Jpay is an organization that processes EFT money transfers to inmates. They have a captive audience in a cornered market, so they charge fees accordingly. They charge 18 % per transaction, which is highly disproportionate to the cost of processing the money transfer. These fees are charged to a disadvantaged consumer group : families of inmates who are likely to be financially struggling to get by. I feel it 's a predatory practice and it needs to be stopped.
