SunTrust Banks, Inc. Credit card other May 11, 2016 - I had a credit card with Suntrust that went into collections in -. In -, they issued - cancellation of debt tax form, stating that this debt had been forgiven. That year, I had to include that balace in my taxes. Despite this, Suntrust continues to report that I owe then $9400.00 on my credit report. I have disputed it multiple times, but they continue to tell the credit bureaus that I owe them this money.
