We only owed one months rent which was just about $900.00 but once turned over to Advanced Collection Bureau they tacked on extra fees totalling $2700.00. They have called me repeatedly and asked me personal questions about my income taxes and recommended that I send my entire check to them. I was told that I will never be able to get an apartment in my name again. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told I did not need - and I just needed to pay the debt. Debt collection communication tactics used obscene/profane/abusive language July 9, 2015 - I was never informed of my debt though it had been on my credit report for apparently - years. When I - contacted the collections agency they lied and said that they tried to contact me several times. They only contacted my ex husband, who I am NOT in contact with. To contact me then they could have asked my ex for my number, not expected him to contact me instead, in a manor of doing their jobs for them.
