Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt was paid October 7, 2015 - I received a judgement from a law firm of Bursey + Associates based out of -, AZ, numerous time they have violated collection practices in collecting a debt. The most recent which is prompting this complaint is they were sent a payment in full letter, dated -/-/2015 and sent certified on -/-/2015. I find out today they do not have the copy of that letter nor are they sure were it is as it is not in my file. I settled to accounts with them and was advised that the accounts would be updated on my credit report to show settled. As of - both accounts are showing as collections by - - - and -. The original creditor is - - Bank, -. The debt in the amount of $590.00 do not belong to me nor have I done any business with either of them. I notified the - office and they are suppose to remove this false claim from my name. What upsets me the most is that - - - assumed individuals with the same last name is associated with a debt their trying to collect.
