I received a judgement from a law firm of Bursey + Associates based out of -, AZ, numerous time they have violated collection practices in collecting a debt. The most recent which is prompting this complaint is they were sent a payment in full letter, dated -/-/2015 and sent certified on -/-/2015. I find out today they do not have the copy of that letter nor are they sure were it is as it is not in my file. However I have proof they received this letter as well as the letter was sent to the company that sued me of - - -, and to my payroll department. The letter stated the debt had been paid in full by my records, and as such they were not to communicate any more to me other they to state the debt was paid in full. They are trying to blame my payroll department for not calling them, and that it happens all the time, so instead of owning up the matter they are blaming another party.
