Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt is not mine December 3, 2016 - On - I was contacted by Key 2 Recovery about owing money to - University student accounts. I told - - that I did n't owe anything to this school because the money was from my student loans and grants. I sent her the paperwork where I withdrew from - and enrolled into a different school. - had signed all my paperwork stating I did not owe any money. Debt collection taking/threatening an illegal action threatened arrest/jail if do not pay July 2, 2015 - I received a letter from a company called Key 2 Recovery , Inc. in regards to a debt that I owe. The amount this so called company says I owe is $5500.00 because of an unpaid student loan with - College. Now I called this collection agency about this so called amount and they said its for a student loan. Yes I did go to - College, but the money I took out was through FAFSA which deals with the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
