Continental Finance issued me a - card
about 6 months or so after receiving the card, I called to dispute a duplicate charge on my card. A store that I had patronized inadvertently charged me twice. When I called - , I was given the complete runaround, left several messages, waiting for a call back that never happened, switched from one department to another, and when I finally did get a representative to submit my dispute, I was very detailed in my claim and he STILL only credited my account $1.00 instead of the $15.00 that I should have been credited for the double charge. When I called back again, I got the same runaround until I just dropped it altogether. Months later, I am shocked when I get my bill and see that my account is over the credit limit when I made no purchases that month! They charged a $95.00 annual fee PLUS a monthly maintenance fee of $10.00 that was never there before, AND an over limit fee!!! Needless to say I was outraged but when I call, of course I need to speak to another department where I am transferred to once again leave a message for a phantom representative that never calls back! Not only that, but the interest rate has ballooned up to over - % interest!!! These people are predators and need to be stopped. The meager $300.00 that they initially offer so graciously may s eem like a great solution to an immediate situation, but it is a nightmare dealing with these people and a shame that they are allowed to prey on hardworking people like this! I am appalled.
