I sent a letter to TransUnion requesting that they delete the duplicate inquiries on my credit report. I explained that under the provisions of the fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC Section 1681i they must reinvestigate and delete the disputed Items. The told me that I have to contact the creditors that made the inquiry and have them write a letter of deletion. I went to the creditors and they explain to me because I am not a customer of theirs that they will not write the letter. I explain this to TransUnion and also mentioned again the Fair Credit Reporting Act and they told me that they would not delete the duplicate items. So now I am bringing the complaint to the CFPB.
