Citibank Credit card department,
Billing disputes North Carolina
I had a Macys credit card which had been closed and I was paying off the balance. In - 2017, my minimum balance was $63.00 and I paid the entire balance by the due date. As far as I knew the card was paid off. I just happened to notice that I had an email from Macys with a balance due of $6.00. When I went back through my statements, I saw that in the - statement ( generated after paying it off ) they charged me a fee of $2.00. The interest accrued said $0.00, but there were fees of $2.00 and then they charged the same fee of $2.00 in - and again in -. Since I do n't get paper bills and no longer use that email address, I was not aware this was even going on. I was not concerned since the account had been paid off. When I called them to inquire, they told me it was interest. I 'm not so sure how you can keep paying interest on something that was paid off, and the interest charge even said $0.00. I told them I was n't paying it and to fix the charge and supposedly they have reversed it which I have not yet been able to verify. But I ca n't help but wonder how many other people they have done this to.
