Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low California
I sent a letter to Citibank special delivery on -/-/-. Informing them that they have been responsible for unfair bank practices, consisting of Authorization holds on my checking account, excessive overdraft fees and re ordering of transactions in order to make a profit from my misfortune. I opened a checking account with Citibank shortly after -/-/- and In -/-/- the Federal Reserve prohibited banks from automatically enrolling customers in overdraft coverage.This I was not aware of at the time I opened the account nor was I told during the time I held the bank account with them that I could opt in or out of such coverage. Therefore the bank have been making charging me excessively and unfairly in accordance with the law. I wrote in the letter that there have been a large number of settled lawsuits in the United States for exactly what Citibank have done to me. I mentioned that they have been acting illegally and that I would like to recover all my bank charges back from them that I have incurred from -/-/- until -/-/-. As full and final settlement.
