Citibank Credit card department,
Billing statement Massachusetts
I opened a Home Depot Credit Card account. Months later I bought counter tops. When I purchased the counter tops I used a 24 month promotional loan. The account had to be " switched over '' to the promo. I was told to check my statement the next month and if I did n't see the promotional terms to return to the store so they could " fix it ''. The conversion did not take place so I returned to the store. I had the account converted and was told I was allset. I waited for a new statement. I received a notice reading I was 30 days late on payment. I did n't pay the incorrect statement, and did n't have a corrected statement so I did n't pay anything as I was n't sure how much I was supposed to pay. At first I thought I lost a bill because I found all of this to be sort of confusing, but I easily could 've paid them had I known they wanted some type of payment. No one made it clear that payment for an incorrect billing term was expected.
