Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I lost myTJ- Reward credit that was issued by Synchrony Bank. I have repeatedly told the investigators that the last time I used the card was on -/-/2016. Someone apparently found the card and used it to make online purchases at -, -, and TJMaxx. These unauthorized purchases were made from -/-/2016 - -/-/2016. After the investigation, the investigator 's finding was determined that I benefitted from the reported disouted purchase. I called the bank and inquired how that determination was made. I spoke to someone named - who told me the notes in the file indicated the determination was bases on a purchase I made on -/-/2016 at a vendor used in the unauthorized purchases. I felt that explanation was a clear indication that the investigation determination was baseless and without merit. I requested the inquiry to be reinvestigated. - told me that it could not be done as i was not providing any new evidence. However another department will take a look at the matter. The determination was the same. By now I 'm wondering how could this unfair outcome and burden be arbitrarily placed on a customer who brings business to your company. Not only having to pay for this theft but now it is going to be reported to all the Credit Bureau. There must be a way to appropriately rectify this matter. I am really hoping that someone can hold this company accountable for what I believe is predatory and baseless determination on a matter which has not been thoroughly investigated.
