Citibank Credit card department,
After open a business account for a new business, I applied for a CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select World Master Card. This application was rejected, I called Citi and the representative did a manual revision of the application and was rejected for a second time, she told me that I will receive a letter explaining the reason why the credit card was denied. For my surprise the reason was : THE CREDIT REPORT SHOW DEROGATORY PAYMENT HISTORY After read this I was very worry, because I been very responsable with my finances. I called CitiCards ( - ) they told me that the decision was made based on - and they recommend me to call them. I did and a rep from - told me that they dont have any information on file about this business and send me an email with
they said. Base on the Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( prohibits creditors from discrimination ) I consider that I was a victim of a discrimination by Citi and in order to support your decision CitiBank used FALSE INFORMATION that is not contained on my business or personal Credits Reports. Im sending for your review - Copy of the letter sent by CitiBank - 2- Copy of the email sent by - 3- Copy of my personal credit report. I strongly request an investigation in order to know what kind of information Citi used to conclude " Derogatory payment history '' Im not complaining about their decision. My concern is the FALSE INFORMATION they used to conclude that.
