In - 2016, I submitted a complaint to CPFB, # -. The complaint was about - reporting that I owed a balance to Citibank. I disputed entry with - and asked for documentation to substantiate balance. - could not get documentation from Citibank, yet maintained it on my credit file. I submitted complaint to CPFB seeking same documentation to substantiate balance. It could not be provided and entry was subsequently deleted from Chexsystems file and from credit reports. Citibank collection item has now reappeared on credit report under - - - -. Citibank has not been able to substantiate this debt, and I want it permanently removed from my credit report.
