Citibank Credit card department,
I missed a balance due payment of - in - on my Citi Bank credit card. I did n't see the bill come in but found it later buried under some papers on my desk. I called as soon as I received my past due notice. I have been a customer since 1993 and always pay my bill in full, with rare exception. I argued that the $25.00 late fee should be removed if they just looked at my history. I paid the $30.00 charge but not the late fee. This month I received a bill that charges a late fee of $37.00 on the $25.00 late fee from last month. Now the bill is $63.00 That simply does n't make sense. Is that legal is charge interest and late fees on late fees when no activity took place? No other charges were on the bill. I spoke with customer service today at - AM EST to a young lady named - who then turned me over to a - named -. - indicated that since it was n't a bank error, it could n't be reversed. I know that is an untrue statement.
