approximately 2 years ago I was approached by someone from our bank where we had personal and company accounts for the last 8 years, namely wells fargo, to open a credit card account. at the time I thought that they were very helpful because 8 years ago I had filed for bankruptcy, and it was very difficult to restart my credit worthiness. they opened my account with - credit line, 6 months ago they increased it to -. in the apprx 2 years that I had the card I never went over my limit. I never was late in payments and always paid in full. the card has a 1 % reward and I was able to amass a total of - which we left in the account
on - - 2017 we received a letter from wells fargo stating that the account was closed immediately as of - -. I called customer service and after having been passed to - different depts. I was told that - account was closed and they did not have to explain why and that the - that I had as rewards were also not available. I believe that 1. they should have given me the possibility of claiming the rewars 2. been able to tell me why they closed the account since my credit is at - with no negatives other then the bankruptcy of 8 years ago..
