Citibank Credit card department,
I own a Macys/star rewards credit card. The card carries an interest rate of 25.74 %. I recently had a balance of $340.00 on the card. Macys received payment of the balance in full on -/-/17 per my - credit statement. On the same statement, Macys charged me 25.74 % interest on -/-/17 on a balance of $300.00. They added the interest total to new purchases ( made on -/-/17 ) due on -/-/17. I called Macys to question why they would charge me interest on a bill amount that was paid in full before interest was accrued. -, the Macy representative, I spoke with on -/-/17 @ - CST, told me she would immediately remove the interest from my account and I should wait a few days to see the credit. This is actually the second time Macys has charged me interest on a - balance. When I called to complain the first time, which was 3 years ago, I was told it was a " computer glitch '' and I was credited. My complaint is if I do n't call to complain, Macy overcharges me in interest. They are aware of the computer glitch problem and I do n't believe I am the only person they are overcharging, I am just one customer that is paying attention to their bill.
