Experian Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Billing dispute Georgia
I ordered a credit report for $1.00. A week later I was reviewing my credit card statement and Experian had charged me $1.00 and then another charge for $21.00. I called and they said that by ordering a credit report that I had agreed to a 7-day free trial of a service from -, a company that I have never heard of. They gave me 7 days to cancel or be charged monthly in perpetuity. Of course, since I did n't have any idea about a free trial I missed the window and they refused to refund my money. This is a TOTAL SCAM. Whatever fine print they had on the website can not stand up in court. I never agreed to nor was I notified. I thought I was doing business with a credit bureau. They slid this in unknowingly and thought they were just going to help themselves to $21.00 per month forever??? - using the Experian name to disguise themselves as a friend to consumers, only to then hit them with the exact same kind of fraud that Experian seeks to protect against.
