Citibank Credit card department,
I currently have a credit card with Citibank and on it I have a balance transfer and other purchases aside from that. I was under the assumption that the balances shown on the statements were my full balances. I tried to pay my bill so I would not have interest on the other purchases by paying over that amount. However, the next month there was still a balance in other purchases. Looking into the fine print revealed to me that these numbers were not actually my full balances but daily average balances. Therefore, I did not know what each balance was until I actually got in contact with Citibank. I find this to be a very deceptive way of communicating what is owed on an account, since you actually have to reach out to the company month-by-month in order to get your full balance. I had made contact with Citibank but the CSRs were not able to bring my complaint to where it needed to go in order to facilitate a change in policy.
