I RECEIVE A CITI SIMPLICITY MASTERCARD PRE-SELECTED APPLICATION AND APPLY -/-/-. I RECEIVED A DENIAL LETTER -/-/- STATING THAT THEY RECEIVE INFORMATION FROM - THAT HELP THEM WITH THEIR DECISION. I CHECK WITH THE CREDIT BUREAU BECAUSE I HAD NO NEGATIVE INFORMATION IN MY CREDIT FILE THAT I KNEW OF AND THEY CONFIRM THERE WAS NO NEGATIVE INFORMATION. I CONTACTED CITI AND THEY WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING SO THEY SWITCH ME TO THE COLLECTION DEPARTMENT AND I SPOKE WITH -. HE WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING RIGHT AWAY AND CALL ME BACK STATING THAT HE FOUND I HAD A CITI CARD -/-/- AND IT HAD BEEN IN A BANKRUPTCY IN -. I TOLD HIM I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THAT AND IF HE COULD SEND ME THE CREDIT CARD APPLICATION BEARING MY SIGNATURE AND INFORMATION AND A COPY OF THE BANKRUPTCY PAPERS. HE LATER STATED HE DID NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION DUE TO THE AGE OF IT. I ASK HIM SO YOU CAN TELL ME THIS IS WHY YOU DENIED ME BUT CA N'T GIVE ME PROOF. HE STATED HE WOULD TRY AND LOOK FOR IT AND GET BACK WITH ME. AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS HE SENT ME A LETTER STATING THAT THIS WAS NOT A FRAUDULENTLY ACCOUNT THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS INCLUDED IN A BANKRUPTCY DATED -/-/- AND THEY HAVE COMPLETED THEIR INVESTIGATION AND THAT THIS FILE IS NOW CLOSED.
