JCP Payment Screen/Account Summary ( first screen once logged into account ) is deceptive and has cause me financial harm, thereby being abusive by CFPB terms. There are - choices to choose from to make a payment, non of which state that your account may be delinquent. Per the representatives that I spoke to today, -/-/2017, ( lastly was - in collections ) my account was delinquent even though my payment history would reflect otherwise. My monthly amount due went from $68.00 to $190.00 due to being " delinquent '' - something I only found out by calling and speaking to both representatives. I had been charged - late fees $37.00, $37.00, $27.00. I was told that I missed my - payment, however in - I made - payments to correct the missed payment as I did not know that I had missed the payment.

While - did waive - of my late fees, I am still very dissatisfied with the fact that I had to make a $59.00 payment over the phone to bring my account " current '' and no where on my account page did this amount show past due. I have been a loyal customer of JCP for years and I feel taken advantage of and sadly believe that the only reason I had - late fees waived was because I understand UDAAP and was able to explain the Deceptive and Abusive features of their online payment system. For others without this knowledge, I fear they are being taken advantage of. I am very unhappy and will no longer be shopping at JCP. I will work monthly to pay off my account. I was told by both representatives that they would place a " complaint '' in their system. I too am placing a complaint with the CFPB to ensure that this abuse does not continue and harm others.
