Citibank Credit card department,
Credit determination California
I applied for a BUSINESS card for my CORPORATION only to find out that the Citibank ran a credit check on my individual credit. I did not authorize them to do that. When someone applies for a corporate card with its own tax id number then the bank should utilize the information and run credit on that legal entity applying for the credit. The entity has been in business for over 18 years and if the bank does n't want to provide credit to the entity that is fine but they had no right to run credit under my personal information since I was not applying for credit personally. This has a negative effect on my credit score since it reflects as if I personally applied for credit and reduces my personal credit score which has nothing to do with my corporation. That is the reason they call it a BUSINESS CARD and not a regular credit card. This conduct of bank is not justified and should be stopped.
