Synochrony Bank issued a - - - - in my name In -. I did n't receive the card until - and was not able to activate the card either by phone nor on their website so I did n't use it. I received a letter from them the middle of - where they stated they would send my card to collections if I did n't pay by the next due date which was - -. Again on the - I tried to activate my card both by phone and by their website but kept getting caught in a phone circle saying they could not find my information and asked me to input the information again. There was no option to ask for customer service nor was there another phone number provided on their letter, their website, nor the card itself. Their online registration stated the information I provided was incorrect, it was n't. Finally after the - or - time trying online it gave me a message that my birth date was incorrect ... .they had incorrectly put it into their system. By the time I found this out, their offices were closed and I had to wait until
FINALLY caused them to route me to customer service. Unfortunately, once there the service rep fixed my birthdate in their system but I was told I would have to deal with their collections department to make my payment as my account had been sent there. I paid the account in full and explained the situation to the person I spoke with, they stated they Would Not take the credit collection note off my credit report, even though the error they made caused me to have the account go to collections ... Their mistake, they should reverse their collection notice on my credit report ... .Very unhelpful people to deal with.
