Experian Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Billing dispute New York
I accessed a one time service from Experian for a credit report when applying for a credit card two years ago. Since then I have received emails from them and assumed this was junk mail. I never opened them nor have I used their online rating service since the initial check. I have not received paper billing from them. This week I checked my online bank balance and noticed a $27.00 fee from Experian every month. I called my bank and they traced the charge back to at least - 2015 - which is close to $500.00. The bank said they could not reverse the billings. I called Experian to cancel and file a complaint. They said that when I signed up for the initial service I was supposed to cancel after seven days and that this direction is clear on their website. I have no memory of this being clear ; I 'm very careful and have never had this problem with any other online service that I 've used. They offered to refund - payment of $27.00. I have researched Experian complaints in online chat boards and have found that many people have had the same problem.
