On -/-/-, a rental application submitted denied based on inaccurate information contained in -, - - - - - consumer data base. Although not registered with CFPB or the state of Maryland -, -. dba - - - referred in their denial letter doing business as a credit reporting agency but refused to follow the FCRA and validate allege debt. According -, - dba - - - although they consider their business entity as a credit reporting agency they obtained allege debt from Experian.


On -/-/-, I immediately reached out to Experian tried to obtain a copy of my credit report. In addition, asked if Experian was reporting a collection item in the amount of $3200.00, for - - - dated -/-/-. Per Experian no such item is appearing anywhere on the consumer credit report/file. I asked Experian if they had another entity or business services providing information to - - companies doing business as credit reporting agencies, and Experian stated no other consumer files or database under the Experian umbrella existed and showing any debt under my name. Please find attached a copy of - dba a credit-reporting agency clearly showing they obtained allege debt information from Experian. In addition, -, - dba - - - is maintaining a rental history search file and claiming it 's a part of the consumer actual credit report without the consumer consent or knowledge. I asked the CFPB confirm the legality of allowing a company to claim a separate file is a part of the same consumer credit report as maintained by the - credit bureaus -, -, Experian. In addition, I requesting the CFPB take legal action against all Residential Screening companies maintain separate consumer databases and sharing and selling data claiming it 's a part of the consumer actual credit report. I am asking the CFPB investigate and provide the consumer protection from the above mentioned abusive business practices that has allowed Resident Screening to do business as a credit reporting agency without following the FCRA ( 2 ) Prevent Experian from maintaining several consumer databases and files, selling or sharing consumer data with other companies without the consumers knowledge and consent. ( 3 ) Enact pass laws that require Resident Screening companies doing business as credit reporting agency to register with the Federal and State government as such. ( 4 ) Enact and pass laws that require Resident Screening companies to disclose where information is obtain from rental history search. Due to this inaccurate reporting I was denied housing, lost monies from deposit and application fees and it will now that at least ( 30 ) days for a complete removal of inaccurate information from the consumer credit files. By the time the matter is fully investigate the item removed the property I was trying to obtained will be gone. In addition, if the consumer actual credit file with the - major credit bureaus do not show allege debt a company not registered as an actual consumer reporting agency should not be allowed to supply inaccurate rental information and block consumer from obtain housing.
