My wife and I went into a Kay Jewelers Store to purchase our wedding rings -/-/2016. We were planning on putting a deposit on the rings to hold it, and then we were planning on putting the rest of the money to purchase it -/-/-. When we told the sales representative what we were planning to do, she advised us to just put down - % and to put the rest on my Kay 's credit card. She told me I could pay the rings off in 12 months with interest-free payments. I wanted to be sure I could afford to pay the ring off in a year so I asked how much the payments would be, she informed me the payments would be $220.00 a month. I told her I did n't have the - %, so she advised me to put the entire amount on the credit card and to come back with the - % before 30 days and they would apply it as the down payment. So, I decided to take this route because I knew the payments would only be this high for a year. So, my wife and I put down - % for


of payments to pay these rings off. So, I decided to do some research and I realized that I 've been paying interest on these rings since I bought them. I reached out to Kays and explained the situation to them and they basically told me that the sales rep put the - % down as a payment instead of a down payment, and that I was at fault because I should 've been reviewing my statements. They did not try to help me or try to find a solution. I explained to them that a Kay 's sales representative reassured me that my payments were going to be interest-free for 12 months and they gave me the exact amount of my payments. As a consumer, if the payments were the amounts they told me, of course, I would think I 'm paying my rings off interest-free. This is serious because they told me something that was false and they are not taking ownership of a mistake THEY made! I feel so unvalued as a customer and I feel like this is not something that should be taken lightly. On top of that, I am stuck making high payments until this card is paid off. All of this could have been avoided if the representative did n't give me false information.
