JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
I filed a previous complaint regarding a $110.00 charge that Chase had applied to my credit card. I continued to dispute the charge because Chase never provided any proof that I authorized the charge. After a few months, the same amount reappeared on my most recent Chase statement with a reference to some travel-related operation in -, -. This is clearly a bungled attempt by Chase to try and hide the charge as being different from the original one, by conjuring some 'merchant ' that makes absolutely no sense to me. I am not sure what is going on with Chase 's dispute-handling operation, but I have received contradictory information regarding the $110.00 charge for months now, depending on who I am talking to at Chase. I think it 's a bad process riddled with either outright incompetence or the lack of effective communication - or perhaps a company philosophy to try and collect funds from customers despite lacking basic proof of the validity of the charge. The bottom line is that Chase has re-instituted a disputed charge under false pretenses ( an alleged charge from who knows who or what in - ).
