Closing/Cancelling account Tennessee
I have had a credit card with citi bank since 1989 in the past their customer service was excellent and I never had a problem with them. Over the years I have heard numerous stories about difficulty with citi bank yet I continued with them. Over the past two years I have had nothing but difficulty with this company. Promising lower interest rates if I called back and requested at a specific time only to be denied. Cancelled cards ... increasing limits on cards I did not want increased and lowering limits on cards that I needed increased. They recently acquired the - account from Costco they lowered the account credit limit and would only increase it if I agreed to a credit check ... yet at the same time increased a credit limit on another card by - more than what I was requesting. When the account was transferred I had accrued a rebate of approx - dollars. Due to the ensuing difficulty with Citi bank I cancelled this card and have paid off the balance. Now they are refusing to pay the rebate amount as well as charged me - interest. I am requesting the rebate amount be refunded to me as well as the - being removed as payment as the bill was paid in full. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this issue.
