Continental Finance Company, LLC Credit card department,
In - I applied for and received a Verve credit card. On or about - -, 2016 I called and cancelled the card. I never activated the card and made no payments and I was told I would therefore owe nothing on the card. Nevertheless, on or about - -, 2016, I received a letter from Continental Finance indicating that I had a balance of $120.00, with a minimum payment of $35.00 due on - -, 2016. When I called the customer service number from the back of the card, -, I was told by the automated teller that the balance on the card was $0.00 and no payment was due. I have been unable to reach a Continental Finance representative to discuss the discrepancy between the content of said letter and the information provided by the automated teller.
