Amex Credit card department,
Was charged for my American Express Platinum Business card $450.00 for annual fee on -/-/2016. On -/-/2016 was card was cancelled by American Express. on -/-/2016 I called to see how to get the $450.00 refunded since card was cancelled. Was told it would be credited back by the next business cycle. I now have been turned over to a collection agency for the $450.00 plus - late charges $38.00 each. I have tried to dispute charges with collection agency however they stated they only take money and I would have to take up the issue with American Express. I have contacted American Express and get the run around and never get an answer. Yesterday, -/-/2016 I spoke to customer service and they stated another department cancelled the card therefore and they have no way of reversing the charge and am out of luck. I should not have to pay for the entire annual fee when I only received 11 days of the card benefit. Plus I was told that I would be credited back the fee on -/-/2016.
