Equifax Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Public record Oklahoma
In the beginning of - - we contacted the Oklahoma - - to inform them that our unpaid income tax would be paid by the end of the month and to ensure a lien would not be filed. They assured us the lien would not be filed unless the income tax was not paid by - -. Two weeks following that conversation we received the lien in the mail which was paid in full the following day. On -/-/-, I filed a dispute with - and Equifax stating the same since this lien had appeared on my reports. On -/-/-, - confirmed and deleted this from my credit report. Equifax submitted their results today, -/-/- and has refused to remove the lien from my credit report. It is obvious from my attached credit report that I am a financially responsible consumer who continually makes payments on time and is never late and satisfies each and every loan that I take out. This is the only negative thing listed on my report and it is hindering me from refinancing my home into a conventional mortgage which will save my family and I tens of thousands of dollars in the next decade.
