Closing/Cancelling account Oklahoma
Best Buy / CitiBank Credit Card closed my account without prior notification. Best Buy says that they sent me an email. I did not get said email. I would think that even if I am enrolled in paperless billing that " Closing of an Account '' Documents should override the paperless billing and they should have to be mailed out. The lady I spoke to on the phone today said that it is illegal to hard copy mail something out if you are enrolled in paperless billing. I told her it should be illegal to close someone 's account without prior notification and as a consumer there should be protection against that. They should have to mail me something instead of just email. I do n't want my Credit Report to be negatively impacted by them closing my account and also me having to open up another Best Buy account. I feel that they should re-open my account because they did not notify me prior to closing my account.
