Citibank Credit Card Complaint

Closed account -/-/- card cut up because rep with a foreign accent wanted me to send copies of drivers license and social security card which Im not going to do. Never had a credit card company ask me for this and fear this may cause identity theft. My credit union rep issued a certified bank check -/-/- to pay off the entire balance on my statement which was received on -/-/- by Citicards. They claim it was returned by bank which is ridiculous because - other like checks cleared just fine. On -/-/- they called and wanted the bank checks routing # and account # off check to process and they claim it failed to process again. Note this was not paid on my personal check but on a certified bank check I called my bank rep and she said they would need the physical check they mailed back to void and reissue funds another way. I have let - citicard reps know this but they keep calling and harassing me. My bank rep - tried to contact citicards to get it paid but they told her they ca n't discuss my account with her. This better not affect my credit rating as we have in good faith paid the entire balance as of -/-/- well before the due date. This is ridiculous and a tremendous inconvenience and waste of time for all. I have all documentation attached to back this up including a copy of the original certified bank check, statements and emails with my credit union rep. This kind of activity where credit card companys have free reign is why so many americans have bad credit when they should not. I appreciate your help in getting this matter resolved quickly so we can move on
