BAIT AND SWITCH CREDIT CARD OFFER BY Fidelity Investments & Elan Financial Services Took advantage of a Visa card offer on Fidelity web site noting a 2 % rewards credit card, coupled with a - point ( $100.00 value ). Account opened without issue, card received, but never received the - bonus. Several attempts to correct via written correspondence and two telephone calls with Elan Financial pushes everything back to a 'live ' phone call. Final call made on -/-/2016 to Elan Fin @ -, spoke with a supervisor named -, and she noted as their was no promotional code attached by the system with my account opening, I would not be receiving the promotional offer. The offer, if still up on the Fidelity investments website, is at this URL : -. I was still active as of -/-/2016 @ -. When asked why they ca n't research what promotional offer was actively run on the Fidelity Investments web site at the time the account was open, the rep kept referring to the account opening code statement ... I also know that apparently other customers are having a similar issue with not getting the appropriate credit ... This is a classic example of Bait and Switch if I 've ever seen one.
