I used my - - - credit card, issued by Chase, with no foreign exchange fee, for a purchase in - -. The exchange rate used by Chase, provided by -, was incorrect, causing me to overpay by US $380.00. The transaction posted on - -, 2016. Chase has twice refused to help because it is an exchange rate dispute. - - has also refused to acknowledge their error. For the date in question ( - -, 2016 ), here are the various conversion rates from - - - - - to - : - - - - - - - - - - - - As you can see above, - rate is substantially higher than those of its competitor - as well as the various benchmarks. I have also done further research and found that, for the 4-day period from - - to -, - exchange rates from - to - deviated significantly from the rates for mastercard and the other benchmarks. In addition, for the same 4-day period, - exchange rates had the same issue from - to -, as well as from - to - Dollar - I have attached charts for the exchange rate for all benchmarks ( -, -, and - ) for - - to - for those - currency conversions from - to -, -, and -. ( I did not check other currencies but assume there was a similar issue. )
