Equifax Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Public record Illinois
My Chapter - bankruptcy was filed on - - and was discharged by Illinois Federal Courts in - -. I am aware per FCRA that federal law does not state that a bankruptcy MUST stay on your credit report for 7-10 years. The law ONLY states that it MUST be removed after the falloff date of - -. I am also aware that EQUIFA- can remove this public record prior to the maximum 10 years, if I 've proven myself a excellent credit risk. I am asking in good faith that this Chapter - Bankruptcy be removed immediately. I have shown that I am creditworthy and a very low risk consumer of credit by paying all my current account on time for more than 5 years. If you examine my entire credit history thoroughly one could determine I was a excellent credit risk prior to my bankruptcy. The reason behind my bankruptcy was fueled by the Housing Market Crash. I was in good standing with all my creditors and had never paid late before. I had several credit cards that was included in my bankruptcy do to the nature of the Chapter # - filing. I humbly request that this detrimental public report be removed, so that I may move continue to forward in purchasing the home of my dreams.
