Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Oregon
In 2007 I opened a bank account at the age of - with wells fargo. I was constantly badgered about opening a credit card account by bank tellers but always declined. Later that year I accidently overdrew my account with a purchase but quickly added money to my account. Without my knowledge a credit card account had been opened in my name with wells fargo and an automatic overdraft protection transfer was made from this line of credit without my knowledge. I never received a credit card in the mail, I never heard mention of it, and I never saw a tab from a credit account on my online banking. YEARS went by and my delinquent credit amount of maybe - dollars remained. I received no notices about by email or physical mail. I eventually met with a banker to check my credit score and he saw the strikes on my credit and the now - $ that had accrued in interest and I quickly paid the fees to stop the bad credit and closed the account. I was unsure of how this could have happened and they said I opened a credit card. When I asked to see a
with a verbal confirmation and without a signature. So no proof exists of me wanting to sign up for a credit account except that some teller said I wanted the account. I never had and never will want a credit card account with wells fargo. At the time I was unsure of what to make of all this until I learned of the huge scandal that wells fargo was involved in. Now I realize I was taken advantage of and want my money back along with any interest. I went into a branch office and they said it was too long ago to have records of proof of the money being taken out of my account. I do n't believe I paid the balance until only a few years ago though so I think it should still be in my account. I do n't trust them and am afraid they will just try to delete any proof that exists. I know my case is a small - but any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you --
