Equifax Credit Reporting Complaint

Incorrect information on credit report account status

Equifax Credit reporting department,

Incorrect information on credit report Account status Kentucky

I have attempted to have the verbiage changed on the status of this account in question with the original creditor and Equifax. i have received a letter from the original creditor stating that the status would be changed. Instead of changing the status of the account Equifax just added another status, which in no way fixes the issue. The original account status stated, claim filed with government. This was suppose to be changed to transfer to other office/default. Equifax just added this comment to the status instead of changing it. Now it states, claim filed with government and transferred/sold. All that Equifax needs to do is remove the verbiage, claim filed with the government. Please help! This verbiage on my credit report is making it impossible to qualify for a mortgage. The mortgage broker advised me that this statement could mean I have a judgement lien against me, and this by no means is the case. Again, please help me get this corrected. I will attach files of the original creditors letter, and the updated account on Equifax.
