This is regarding Case number : - which is still open. At the end of the month of -/-/2016 Best Buy CBNA, PO Box -, -, SD - reported I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy on account numbers - and -. I DID NOT FILE BANKRUPTCY. My credit score dropped 49 points. I spent countless hours on the phone with Best Buy credit department asking them to remove this erroneous information and re-open my account. They finally re-opened near the middle of -, just in time for me to make a payment and my credit score went up 45 points. Then on -/-/2016 they reported I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy again! I DID NOT FILE BANKRUPTCY. Again, I spent countless hours on the phone with the credit card department and my credit score went down 45 points. Because this happened again, I filed a dispute with - ; I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau ; I filed a complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General ; and I filed this complaint.


On -/-/2016 Best Buy Credit card reported delinquent payments but the accounts are not mine ( see attached ). My credit score dropped 4 points. I have reason to believe that someone with my same first and last name has filed bankruptcy and has not made a payment. I submitted a dispute online to -. Every month I am having to spend hours on the phone with their credit department, file disputes and complaints. I need help! I ca n't refinance my car. I ca n't apply for a mortgage. All because someone within the Best Buy finance department or wherever this information comes from is not accurately checking the right person and account number. This is slowly ruining my credit which I was trying to get back on track. Please help!
