Experian Credit Reporting Complaint

Incorrect information on credit report reinserted previously deleted info

Experian Credit reporting department,

Incorrect information on credit report Reinserted previously deleted info California

My credit report shows an item that was previously removed and then re-inserted. The FCRA states that the bureau must send a letter to the consumer within 5 days of a re-insertion, they have not. On -/-/- I requested validation from - via certified mail tracking # - sent to the address that they reported on my credit at -, IL -. The letter was returned as undeliverable, they were using an invalid, bogus address making it impossible to get a response to my validation request. As such I disputed the item with the credit bureaus on -/-/- and sent them proof of the " undelivered mail ''. The item was removed but later reinserted. - # - was no longer reporting on my credit report on -/-/- under report # - and it was reinserted on my credit on -/-/-.

They have clearly failed to follow the procedures as outlined by the FCRA. Furthermore, this item continues to report on my file for months now when it was removed nearly 12 months ago. This is very damaging to my credit. I 've been writing letters to both - collection and to the - credit reporting agencies. Furthermore, I also sent a letter to the " Registered Agent '' of - to - to a different address as listed on the corporate records. He was in receipt of my letter on -/-/-, to date I 've received no response from him and it 's been over 6 months. It 's absurd how difficult this has been, a consumer should not have to go through so much just to get a resolution to a complaint. This company should be reprimanded for using a bogus invalid address and avoiding complaints as an attempt to not follow FCRA/FDCPA law. A normal consumer does n't have the means, time or energy to file a lawsuit against them, but according to the FCRA/FDCPA procedures they 've failed, there are multiple violations and should be sued. Please remove this listing from my file immediately.
