Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Received bad information about my loan California
- - - - - - - CA - - -, 2016 RE : Wells Fargo Account # - To Whom It May Concern, I am writing you with numerous concerns that I have with my Wells Fargo " Student Loan '' ( Account - ). About five years ago, I setup a consolidation loan with Wells Fargo for my private student loans. Unfortunately, over the course of the last five years, I 've discovered that this loan does not work like a traditional student loan. Please see my list of concerns on this loan below : This " student loan '' is NOT deferable if I chose to further my education ( pursue my - degree, etc. ). I frequently end up with mysterious late fees. Every time I call to make payment, the representative from Wells Fargo tells me that I have past due balances that need to be paid ( this happens even when payments are made on time ). Each time I tell the representative
I am troubled with this loan because it claims to be a student loan ( when it benefits Wells Fargo ). Additionally, it claims to be a private consolidation loan ( also when it benefits Wells Fargo ). If this were truly a student loan, I would be able to defer the debt while I further my education ( unfortunately the aforementioned option does not apply ). Also, if this were a private consolidation loan, I would be able to absolve this debt with a bankruptcy ( again the aforementioned topic does not apply ). In closing, please know that I have previously attempted to solve this situation directly with Wells Fargo ( on numerous occasions ). Also, I 've even spoken to members of their Executive Office. Unfortunately, no one at Wells Fargo has been able to help me with my concerns. Any action or guidance that you are able to present on this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from a representative at your office. Best regards, - - - - - phone --
