Equifax Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Public record Texas
I would like this tax lien that was filed -, Case # - to be removed from my credit report. This information has not been verified and it has been removed from the other - bureaus ( - - and - ). In my defense, Equifax Information Services LLC has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit that accused the company of violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by providing consumer credit reports that did not properly identify the source of public record information. Equifax never actually retrieves public records from courthouses or government offices, but instead collects the information from private businesses. However, it has agreed to settle the FCRA class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of continued litigation. I would like the tax lien removed from my Equifax credit report.
