Citibank Credit card department,
Charged online purchase from Macy 's with Macy 's credit card. Received next bill with purchase on it. Returned the purchase before the due date and then made new purchases. On the next bill it showed previous balance $350.00, credits of - $350.00, new purchases of $200.00 and a late fee of $27.00. When I called, I was first told I was charged a late fee because I did not make a payment. When I questioned the logic, I was given the same answer. When I asked how I owed anything when I returned the first purchase, the representative took the late fee off the bill. This is not the first time that this has happened to me with Macy 's. It happened a couple of years ago to me and I brushed it off. However, how many people are not reviewing their bill and paying a late fee when it is not owed.
