Rash Curtis and Associates Debt Collection Complaint

Medical Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt is not mine

Rash Curtis and Associates Debt collection department,

Medical Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine California

I disputed and requested a validation of the debt Rash Curtis and Associates claimed I owed. Consumers have the right to request a validation of debt to ensure that the company collecting the debt has not made an error. Sending me notice of the amount I supposedly owe does not prove that I owe the debt ; it merely proves that their company seeks to collect the specified amount. In response to my request, I received a letter from Rash Curtis noting the amount I allegedly owe which was incorrect ( such as the location I received treatment ) and a copy of an outdated patient ledger/statement. In addition, the statement copy sent merely illustrates that I was properly insured at the time services were incurred and their client, - -, was negligent in billing my insurance provider within the required time limit. Therefore, neither Rash Curtis nor their client have properly substantiated their claims that I owe this debt and as such, it has nothing to do with me. In addition, I have provided significant evidence disproving Rash Curtis 's claim that I owe this debt and I have made several attempts to resolve this issue with both parties ( see attached ). My insurance provider at the time ( - ) also attempted to contact both companies to resolve the issue and provided documentation showing I am not responsible for this debt as - - was contracted with them at the time of my services. Yet, Rash Curtis still reported inaccurate and invalidated information to my credit report over 5 months ago and despite receiving information from me disproving their claims shortly thereafter, Rash Curtis has not removed the debt from credit report. This action constitutes fraud under both Federal and State Laws and the negative marks found on my credit report are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and is Defamation of Character.
