Citi enrolled me in an optional 'Credit Protection ' program without my consent. I called the phone number to cancel it at - and was placed on hold for 40 minutes from - to - on -/-/-. I had to log into their alternate website - to cancel. I did not enroll in this service and had I not opened up what otherwise looked like another piece of junk mail they would have applied a surcharge of $9.00 for every $1000.00 carried as a balance on my monthly billing statement. Guess they learned this trick from - -!
