U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
Representatives with U.S. Bank provided incorrect information on four separate occasions in the last ten ( 10 ) days. Billing errors include : ( 1 ) Failure to credit my account properly, ( 2 ) Failure to mail my statement to my current address resulting in no billing statements for three months, ( 3 ) Failure to provide additional information regarding my current balance, and ( 4 ) Failure to validate the debt reflected in the past due balance. I believe a portion of the " disputed amount '' and finance charges are part of my current balance and listed as " past due ''. U.S. Bank failed to correct the statements for the months affected by fraudulent transactions after credits were issued resulting in incorrect amounts due. The law states I do not have to pay the amount in question or any portion of the minimum amount due while the claim is under investigation. I believe U.S. Bank is in violation of my rights by restricting my account after receiving a formal dispute letter advising of my recent identity theft and refusing to send my replacement cards until I brought the alleged past due account current. Please see Attachment I listing detailed back up data for violations indicated above. Every time I call I have to repeat my story. I continually get transferred to Collections, Fraud Department and Customer Service and never get any type of resolution on my account. How do we get this resolved before I have to contact a lawyer?
